Reading Pour Your Heart Into It by Howard Schultz has been nothing short of moving and inspirational. Looking back and looking around me, I realize that it’s heart that’s the deciding factor in success or failure — not technological acumen, being the smartest guy in the room, or coming from money.
I’m going to keep this short, because I believe the truth in language is simple.
Find something that you can pour your heart into. I don’t want that to sound cliché. Living a life that’s true to you — and you already intuitively know what that looks like — is by no means easy. Taking the leap of faith, however, is worth it. You need to jump off the cliff and build yourself a parachute on the way down.
If you’re currently building your parachute, reach out. Let me know what your pain points are and we’ll figure it out together.
As you get started on your authentic journey, you’ll find that your new lifestyle extends far beyond the world of entrepreneurship. Your radical new and authentic take on life will affect your relationships with your friends, family and loved ones. You’ll go through growing pains, and you’ll fall on your face over and over again — hard. If you’re not living a life in accordance to your values, principles, and personal mission, you won’t get back up. The one thing that will keep you going, however, is heart.
Heart needs not to be acquired. You’re born with it. You already know what your grand mission is.
The only question left is: do you have the courage to get started?
